Is there a free online word pad kind of thing?

  1. I'll do you one better: OpenOffice

    http://www.openoffice.org/

    It's basically identical to Microsoft Office, but it's free to download and use.  I use it all the time.  Works great and creates documents that are compatible with other authoring applciations.

  3. There is a nifty thing which Google has, called google docs, which is really an internet version of microsoft word, processor, intel, ect. Allows you to type any documents you want without having to install anything, and has the same results as you would had you installed the programs. All you need is to register and get a gmail account, then log in, voila.

  4. Yeah, You could use free word processing software like Open Office from download.openoffice.org or a trial version of Microsoft Office 2007 from office.microsoft.com
