  1. That is what GrandCentral is designed to do and is currently free - while in beta development phase, if you can get an account, and if you can get your area code (not all area codes available yet).  All calls to your assigned area code number can be forwarded to any phone numbers of your choice.

You can do the same thing quite cheaply using CallCentric (link through my profile).

They provide DIDs (Direct Inbound Dialing numbers) for $1.95/month + 1.5 cent/min incoming calls.

In your web accessed account administration window, just configure all calls to be forwarded to any phone number of your choice.  You don't even have to have a VoIP phone to do this.... just configure all calls to be forwarded to a real landline, or cell.  Reconfigure to re-direct to any number at any time.  Includes voicemail for free.  Forwarded calls are charged at 1.9 cent/min.  Pay-as-you-go.... no contracts, etc.

  2. I'm From Louisiana and have bell south. When I leave my house I always foward my house calls to my cell. I just dail *72 and the house phone then my cell phone number after that. When I get home in the afternoon I dail *73 on my house phone again and it disconnects the transfer back to the house. It's included in my plan. Hope this helps
