Is there a gasket or seal between the master cylinder and the break booster

  1. There is a rubber plug on the booster with the pushrod sticking through it to actuate the brake booster. If the rubber plug is bad, you will have a vacuum leak and the brake booster will not assist in braking very well.

    The master cylinder also has a high pressure seal inside the assembly that keeps brake fluid from leaking out near where the pushrod actuates the master cylinder. If you are leaking fluid, you need to replace the cylinder or have it rebuilt.

  3. yes but its made out of a special high viscosity peanut butter and can only be found in the foot hills of mongolia(thats where they make it)

    and yes in almost all cases this rule applies  where there is fluid there must be a gasket and if your not sure go to a parts store and ask

  5. no, there is nothing to seal there, if there is any brake fluid then the master cylinder is leaking and needs to be replaced.

    the repair manual for my Windstar doesn't show one, and there isnt one installed in it.
