I don't know of any god of papyrus, but since papyrus was used in writing, I would say you are thinking of the god Toth, who was the patron of writing, among other things.

Ancient Egypt had many different god's but I believe that papyrus fell under the god for plant growth.......... And I believe that god was multi-tasking..............................
