Is there a good acting school in tampa florida and any places i could find audition?

i treid the 20 week worshop at john robert powers ripoff! so im trying to find a good cheap place that may get me noticed overtime can you please help!!!!! ohh and any places i could find auditions!!!!!!!! thank you!

I live in Tampa Bay area and I've been involved in acting for over 10 years. Where did I learn most of what I know now? COMMUNITY THEATRE. I know it sounds a little lame but the pressure isn't there to "shape up or ship out" and there are quite a few very talented people in community theatres that you can learn from. Plus, you don't have to pay for acting lessons; they're sort of "built in" when you partake in community theatre.

I'm not sure about the Tampa area but the Clearwater area has a thriving theatre community. Check out Eight O'clock Theatre in Largo and Francis Wilson Playhouse in Clearwater. They're all really nice people and the talent there is unexpectedly high quality.
