don't know what your time zone is, but most major cities have an automated number you can dial for that information, and i imagine you could find that by calling your local directory assistance.

an alternative would be looking on yahoo directory pages for "time and temp" numbers -- again, in the area of your city.

if you have free long distance, here is the number i dial for our local info in the central time zone:

1-405-599-1234
