  1. Check your local (or nearby) university's Modern Language Department. My alma mater offers a Spring Break trip to Paris each year with the French Dept (you don't have to speak French or even be a student to take part in the trip).

We offer 10 days for about $1400 (includes round trip airfare, hotel accommodations, museum pass, metro pass and breakfast each morning). It's great because you have the camraderie of the group but the freedom to venture out on your own after a few days or becoming oriented with the city.

I don't know if you're looking for a tour group that will take you around or if you just want an airfare/hotel package. If it's the latter, you may be better off doing it separately...sometimes it's cheaper to scout out cheap airfare (www.kayak.com) and then find a decent hotel near a Metro. Get a guide book (I highly recommend Rick Steves' Paris) and do a little research. Rick Steves suggests a number of hotels to accommodate all budgets.

We usually stay in the Republique Hotel, located in the Republique neighborhood. It's a nice hotel, in a nice neighborhood...lots of charming restaurants, a few ATMs, a grocery store and some nice shops. And there are a few Metro stations really close to the hotel. If you show your Rick Steves' Paris book at check in, you get free breakfast.

Some hotels also offer internet rates, so it's best to do some research.

  2. If you're from the US, they have good deals on Applevacations.com for Paris that include your flight and hotel and maybe even hotel transfers.

  3. Have a look on the STA website

  4. if your looking for 5-20 bucks a night check out the youth hospitals
