A kind of silent partner if you will. Or is it a case of who you know?

  1. type race horse syndicate into your seach engine or look in racing post plenty out there where you can buy part stake in a horse

  2. I would suggest not to bother joining any syndicates or buying shares in a horse, quite simply because if you can't afford to own and train one outright then why bother.

  3. parnership ownership is the best and most popular today!

  4. You can go as part of a syndicate, several trainers have shares in racehorses available.

Racehorses are not an investment as very few owners make a profit (around 6% only).  Owning a racehorse is more for enjoyment of being a part of racing and the love of horses.

  5. Plenty of syndicates out there.

Don't think of it as an investment though, as you're most unlikely to make money.

  6. It sounds like a syndicate is the best option for you.

There are many good ones out there, it all depends on how much you have to invest.  For abour £130 per year you can join Elite Racing and have a share in some 20 horses.  However you are one of 18,000 shareholders and your odds of a return, or the chance of getting an "owners" badge to see the horses run is minimal.

At the other end of the scale you have clubs like the Royal Ascot Racing Club - owners of Motivator.  It costs about £8,000 to join this club but there are fewer owners involved.

The other option is to talk to a few trainers and ask if they have any shares available in horses they train.

At the end of the day it is all down to how much money you have to spend and how involved you want to be.

  7. Contact successful partnership operations.  Centennial is a great group.  There are others with more moderate thresholds.

  8. just buy one leg it wont cost you a arm and a leg
