The driveway is gravel and kind of rocky. Would be hard to sweep the glass up. Any ideas? Thanks

  1. If the glass is the "safety glass" type, it should have shattered into small, rather harmless pieces. If so, I'd not worry too much, just pick up the pieces as you find them.

On the other hand, if the glass shattered into sharp shards that could puncture tires (and feet), sweep or rake everything to the side and pick it all up using a dust pan or scoop shovel.

Sharp shards of glass are a very serious threat to safety, but the beads of shattered safety glass should pose a minimum hazard.

  2. Unfortunately the only idea I can come up with is use a shop vac to vacuum up the glass, carefully maintaining a balance between not sucking up the gravel but sucking up the lighter weighing glass. Other than that, wait for a sunny day and look for the glitter and pick it up by hand.

  3. if the rocks are bigger than the glass a good vacume cleaner with a restrainer if they are small rocks rake an erea close to the glass clean of rocks scoop a little dirt away and rake the glass to that erea and cover up with the rocks you raked back

  4. cut a potato in half and it will pick up the jagged pieces of glass. It would help to shine a flash light to spot the little pieces.
