Question:

Is there a grace period in Missouri for license tags?

I have to wait till i get paid on the 1st to have the car inspected and pay the property taxes on the car...the tags say july on them so....i have heard of grace periods but dont know about missouri???/ anyone from Missouri or know if this grace period exists?...cant afford the ticket..had really bad $ problem this month that held us back almost 2 paychecks so.....yep...

  1. if you got it and it wasnt running, so on and so forth...you have 30 days without a penalty while it isnt running. If you drive it though, you definitely get a ticket


  2. I live in Missouri - all my life -  & have never (as of this second) let a car go without licensing -

    Honestly I've never heard of a 'grace period' in the state of Missouri - and I would say we don't have one.  Seeing as how they send out reminders 2 months in advance & they give you till the end of the month to register your vehicle.  

    I do know that you're responsible for your tags even IF Missouri doesn't send you a reminder -
