  1. Yes. And they have also taken the word 'gullible' out of the dictionary. Go look it up if you don't believe me.

  2. Yes there are groups of islands in the Pacific Ocean, but Philistines are people from a city in the U.S. called Philadelphia.

  3. Is this a joke? Do I get a prize if I say "yes"?

  4. I think someone is pulling your leg, try Philippines, Western Pacific. A group comprising of 7,107 islands.

Mind you I have found some islands that go by that name but they are on Uranus.

  5. Philippines(Pacific ocean),is the correct spelling and it is a big group with a huge number of people living there!

  6. yes they are named after the rock n roll group of the same name and they all live there in their yellow submarine

the islands are located about half a mile from my house

  7. No you Gentile.

  8. are you serious the Philippines are in the pacific near the south china sea.

  9. Yes their near Sandwich Island. The people are exiles from Philadelphia because they prefer Dairylea triangles.

  10. The Philistines (Hebrew פלשתים, plishtim) (see "other uses" below) were a people who inhabited the southern coast of Canaan, their territory being named Philistia in later contexts. Their origin has been debated among scholars, but modern archaeology has suggested early cultural links with the Mycenean world in mainland Greece.[1] Though the Philistines adopted local Canaanite culture and language before leaving any written texts, an Indo-European origin has been suggested for a handful of known Philistine words

If the Philistines are to be identified as one of the "Sea Peoples"

then their occupation of Canaan would have to have taken place during the reign of Ramesses III of the Twentieth Dynasty, ca. 1180 to 1150 BC. Their maritime knowledge presumably would have made them important to the Phoenicians.

Philistines are not autochthonous to the regions of Israel/Palestine which the Bible describes them inhabiting. The Bible contains roughly 250 references to the Philistines or Philistia, and repeatedly refers to them as "uncircumcised"
