Question:

Is there a guiness world record for the most people on a moving bike? If not do you think we could make one?

Me and my friends can get five, but if we were to get really serious(like world record serious) about it we could do more. Those circus acrobats could probably do a lot more but I dunno. Do you think we could beat them?Or have a chance.

  1. idk if there is but i think it sounds cool you should try it and call guiness to find out if there is or not

  2. This is for a motor cycle :

At the 245th anniversary of the Army Service Corps, 37 men of their stunt team, Tornadoes, covered 600 m on a 500 cc Bullet at Bangalore on Dec. 8, 2005. The Bullet driven by Naik Krishna was fitted with a peripheral metal structure for the men to stand on. No straps or harness was used. With an average weight of 65 kg per head (equal to 2 1/2 tonnes!) the bike rode at 20 kmph on a circular track with six turns. The Tornadoes team was led by Capt. Anurag Malhotra and Capt. Samriddh Chibber.

The longest true bicycle, that is one with only two wheels and no stabilizers, was 28.1 m (92 ft 2 in) long and was built by members of Gezelschap Leeghwater, the mechanical engineering students' association at Delft University of Technology. The bicycle was ridden for a distance in excess of 100 m (328 ft) at Delft, The Netherlands on December 11, 2002.

I cannot find a record for the most people on a bicycle, but I believe a bicycle was built to seat 18 riders, all pedalling, when I was quite a bit younger some men in my village built one for 13 riders, it was very heavy because with only two wheels they had to make it strong enough to not bow down in the middle.

In the early years of the 20th.century pacing bikes with as many as six riders were used on the track, they were called

    Triplets, Quads, Quints etc.

    Edit:

If there is such a record, for a standard bicycle of any type, then of course it would count if you can get more on than the current record, whatever that may be. If there is no such record, get one started ! Don't forget though, the first one isn't

really a record, it sets the standard to beat.

  3. That's a difficult question to answer because that will have to be determined by the strength of the bicycle frame and it's components. You have a chance but you'll need a very strong bike to pull it off.
