  1. IF you can't catch your own salmon - go to the farmer's market in your town and buy a nice fresh salmon.  Put   sliced lemon inside the cavity , wrap in tin foil (shiny side inside).

    Serve with wild rice and the veggies of your choice.  I catch my own up here where I live and you cannot top it!  And it will work nicely as it is in season and will not conflict with kosher laws.

    Bon appetite!

  2. I made a dish of pad thai for a potluck that everyone devoured.   People kept asking me if I brought more.

    My ham and cheese potatoes are also a big hit.  Ham,  potatoes, corn, and a cheese sauce from scratch.  I can never make enough of that either.

  3. Chicken Tortilla soup

    quick and easy

    2 cans black beans

    1 can whole corn

    two cans  rotel tomatoes

    two cans red enchilada sauce

    2 cans cooked chicken breast

    6 sliced up corn tortillas

    Cilantro

    cook all together serve hot topped with fresh cilantro, sour cream, corn chips, and plenty of cheese of choice.

  4. I turned tuscan garlic chicken into a casserole.

    Ingredients

        * 1 1/2 cups flour, plus

        * 1 tablespoon flour

        * 1 tablespoon salt

        * 2 teaspoons black pepper

        * 2 teaspoons Italian herb seasoning

        * 3 lbs boneless skinless chicken b*****s

        * 3 fluid ounces vegetable oil, divided

        * 1 lb penne pasta

        * 1 tablespoon garlic, chopped

        * 1 red pepper, julienne cut

        * 1/2 cup white wine

        * 1/2 lb whole spinach leaves, stemmed

        * 12 fluid ounces heavy cream

        * 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated

    Directions

          Preparing the chicken: Combine 1 1/2 cups flour, salt, black pepper and Italian herb seasoning in a shallow dish.

          Cut the chicken into cubes and dredge chicken in the mixture, shaking off any excess.

          Saute the chicken in batches, in a large, nonstick, ovenproof skillet -- with enough oil to coat -- over medium-high heat for about two to three minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crisp.

          Preparing the pasta: Cook pasta al dente (or according to package instructions).

          Drain and set aside until needed.

          Preparing the sauce: While the pasta is cooking, heat 1/2 to 1 fluid ounce of oil in a sauce pan. Add the garlic and the red pepper and cook for approximately one minute.

          Slowly add remaining one tablespoon of flour and stir to combine.

          Next, add the white wine and bring to a boil for about one minute. Add the spinach and the cream and bring to a boil. The sauce is done cooking when the spinach becomes wilted. Complete by stirring in the parmesan cheese.

          Put the pasta into a casserole dish, and toss the chicken in with the noodles.  Pour the sauce over the noodles and chicken, and toss once again to coat.

          Cook in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F.  for approximately 15- 20 minutes or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.  Or is golden brown and delicious.

    Note, you can add more Parmesan on top of the casserole before placing it in the oven.

  5. My teriyaki chicken strips and beef strips are always the first to go at a cook out or pot luck (my wife's [actually her father's]recipe).

    Teriyaki:

    1 jar (15 or 16 oz) of soy sauce

    ~1/3 cup brown sugar (more or less according to taste)

    1/4 cup oil

    4 or 5 cloves garlic (sliced)

    combine all ingredients in a 1 quart jar.  Fill remainder of jar with water.  Shake to combine.

    Chicken:

    Slice boneless chicken b*****s with the grain into thin strips.  Place in Ziploc bag with teriyaki.  Squeeze out air and let sit overnight.

    Steak:

    Slice steak (I use chuck or NY sirloin) against the grain into thin strips.  Place in Ziploc bag with teriyaki.  Squeeze out air and let sit for an our or so.

  6. A home made vegetable soup with noodles in and some home baked soda bread. Yummy!

    The recipes are from a book, so if you would like them give me a shout and I can type them out for you.

    Shalom. :)

  7. Roasted babby with a barbeque sauce, served on hot onions and sauce.

  8. the only thing I really think would be awesome are

    WADs

    It is jammed packed with every flavor. I'm sorry though but I don't know how to make it,
