  1. Yes. Sapindus.  Soapnut or soap berry.  Even the fruit Lychee (Litchi chinensis) comes under the same family.  Apart from its use as a detergent and soap, it is useful as a medicine.

    Is that what you meant? Or did you really mean "herbal"? Several herbs have Saponins - glycosides that suds and have a detergent action. Soapwort is a plant that was used for body washing back when soap was hard to come by. Others are Sarsaparilla, Chickweed, Cornsilk, Mung beans, Green Peas, Quinoa.
