what are the chances of getting employed if you apply through the internet?

Through the Internet not so sure i think you would have a better first impression if actually went to the place and filled it out there with your resemay(other jobs you have done, what college you went  to, c**p like that).  That should probably get the job.

Internet applications are the done thing here in New Zealand. And yes, demand is high. Just make sure your qualifications are accredited here, and there shouldn't be a problem. UK-demand is even higher, but you might regret going there. I've just moved to NZ from UK, and I am in education. Totally different story here downunder.
