Is there a household product that will make a plant grow faster?

i am doing a science project. and we have to bring in anything that might make a plant grow faster. Any ideas?

  1. Well, you didn't say what kind of plant you are trying to help grow faster. Some plants prefer a high ph level food, others like a more neutral ph level, while others require a lower ph level food. Some need nitrogen in their food, some do not.


  2. Recycled greywater waste. Just make sure if you're using for fruit and veg, that it is administered below the soil and definitely doesn't get on the fruiting parts. Also, low phosphate laundry soaps are preferred over the long term.

  3. Miracle Grow. It is a rich soil composition sold at garden stores targeted at household consumers.

    Now, for regular stuff you might find around the house... rotten eggs make great plant fertilizer. OK, if you don't want to go with the whole rotten smell - -  egg shells mixed in the soil will do.
