Or is there only one justice that belongs to the victors, the privileged few and those who have the power to define it?

  1. No.  We all hope for it, yet it does not exist I'm sorry to say.

  2. Ultimate Justice is just an expression. In all cases either there is justice or injustice and it ends there. Ultimately mean what? What about the period in between? In justice means something that goes against the world order. You may call against nature and there are consequences for that and they start the moment you commit the injustice. When all is said and done there are no winner or losers we all pay equally- weather weak or strong. Universe is an equal opportunity ruler. Justice means letting one deal with the consequences of his own action. If there is a god he simply witnesses the drama impartially.

  3. The universal justice, is in cases called coincidences. There is a greater justice people are just too blind to see it. And in time it fixes all

  4. yes for man made justice (worldly justice) - nature has many laws and justice is the same for all  - race, gender, etc - what's right is right and what's wrong is wrong.

  5. Justice is really just a human concept to give us a framework for when we should feel guilty or repaid on an emotional level. There's really no such thing. I mean, how long after the big bang did it appear? What's it made out of?

  6. Your second proposal is very Nietzschean - but probably spot on.

Of course, I'm also interested in the possibility of a universally *human* moral faculty, arising through evolution for the best possible communal adaptations. You should check out the book "Moral Minds" by Professor Marc Hauser. It's a fascinating study, and it compares Chomsky's theories of generative grammar and innate grammatical facilities to the possibility of an innate moral faculty.

  7. You are talking of human justice. The justice of the Universe is always spot on.
