Is there a korean version/style of nunchuks ?

i take tae kwon do, and im gettin teached nunchucks and swords,

but is there such thing as a korean version or is it all tha same?

like is there only one forms of nunchucks ?

or is there sereval ?

  1. First of all, the Korean word is (Ssahng) Jool Bong . It translates to jointed stick.

    Supposedly the Korean version of the weapons traditionally had a longer chain than the Japaneses version. This makes certain passes around the body a lot easier.

    There are a lot of different forms. Most styles will have their own unique form. If you are interested, I would ask you instructor these questions.
