  1. Get your GED - you're going nowhere in this day and age without some education - it's difficult enough with a college education, let alone without a high school diploma.

An employer has every right to require a certain level of education.

  2. No it's not discrimination to do that. What is defined as discrimination is to be refused a job because of something you can't help and has no relevance to job performance. For example being black has nothing to do with how well someone performs a job and is something you can't help. But not having a high school diploma has plenty of relevance to how well you perform a job and is something you can help. This is perfectly normal in the work field for applicants to be rejected because of their lack of education.

  3. It is a bona fide job requirement at most places of employment.  It is the reasoning of the employer that you lacked interest in a simple task that the population at large completes without any difficulty.    Would you hire someone who did not have the energy to complete high school which is the approximate challenge of the eighth grade of 30 years ago.  It cries out to be explained by something more than "financial reasons."   There is no legal cause of action based on discrimination.   If they hired you tend the employer would have to discharge you for cause because he tried to give you a chance.  Then you might be able to sue the guy.

  4. I'm sorry, but all of these answers are correct.  Maybe you can go back to adult school and get your diploma.  That was how my daughter did it.  It is a lot easier and looked at with more respect than a GED, which is something I have never understood.

No dear, there is no law, for or against.
