If someone cheated on their husband, is there some sort of consequence government-wise? Like isn't it easier to get a divorce or something like that?

  1. There is no law, i mean your not going to face jail time.. But it is adultery and it is a horrible thing to do to a person your married to.

  2. There is no law. Thank god because if there was our prisons would never be able to house them all.

  3.   Where did you get your marriage certificate, and why  would  you be asking this question  ? If your man cheated or is cheating , how would feel?  this is not an area of law as we know it, but a  matter of spiritual honesty and commitment.

Dont take your vows lightly ! especially as a woman, you're likened onto a vessel treat your body as if it's the only one on earth and your marriage like a temple of love .

  4. I'm not aware of any *laws* against it; however I do believe that going through a divorce the judge looks down on someone who has committed adultery.  It does make a divorce proceeding easier for the other spouse when it comes to dividing the property and such.  At least from hearing of others experiences that what I think.

Some marriages do draw up a prenuptial agreement where they state certain thing that happens if the spouse cheats.  Especially ppl who have alot of money they could lose.

  5. No not unless you are in the military I think it is consequences that one face if either spouse is found cheating especially if its with another service member or so.

  6. depending on states there used to be, but they usually arent enforced if they still exist, sorry...

  7. There's no law or clause that is attached to your marriage license that states you HAVE to be faithful or you will punished with such and such law.

BUT, if you happen to have to go through a divorce and your spouse can prove you were unfaithful, that could affect the court proceedings. If you're fighting for custody of the children or whatever else your spouse can use an accusation of adultery to slander your credibility/personality.

It can actually have more weight in court than you realize, even though there's no written law or rule against it.

  8. Let me tell you something if a person is going to cheat they're going to cheat. And there's not too much you can do about that. It's probably no easier to get a divorce because you still have to go through the courts in order to get a divorce. If your husband is a cheater than get a divorce before he brings home a package that neither one of yous can get rid of.
