Is there a law on Labor day for time and a half pay, or is it just nice for the employer to do?

  1. Its just nice for them to do.  No one has to pay you more on holidays, although most places do because NO ONE wants to work on a holiday, so they offer it as an incentive to work that day.


  2. Legaly, I don't think so.  In retail, you don't have to work on labour day if you don't want to.  

  3. Depends on the company. If you work in a service type place such as resturant, convenience store etc... good luck.  

  4. No that is up to each individual company as far as I am told by our wage and labor office
