Is there a law on buses turning in residential steets? , can they perform 3 point turns?

Can a bus perform a 3 point turn legally in a residential street as part of its route? or should it only turn where the road is wide enough?

    Let me guess, another Polish bus drivers got lost, my mate drives for Arriva and he says it's happening all the time.

  2. If the bus is empty, the driver can do a 3 point turn or reverse any where.

    But if there are passengers on board it is ILLEGAL for buses to do 3 point turns or reverse outside the Bus Station.

  3. the correct manouvre would be for the vehicle to reverse into a side road and leave the side road in the direction it should be facing  the same as with cars except that a right hand reverse is safer

  4. i dont think there are any rules on this as it is a public road its not private property !!

  5. When I was a kid I remember being told that a bus is not allowed to reverse when it has passengers on it.

    How true this is, I don't know...

  6. It is done all the time by school buses here in the U.S. but I have never seen a city bus do it.

  7. three point turn on a usa road maybe but here in the uk, no chance
