  1. Go to www.irs.gov and search on "Frivolous Tax Arguments"  You will kinds all kinds of information.

The internet in spawning all kinds of bad advice, and the courts as well as the IRS are getting tired of it, so the courts are starting to fine people for wasting time and money making this arguement.

  2. Oh brother!  Here we go again.

Google "Title 26 US Code"  That's just for Federal income taxes, gift taxes and estate taxes.  There are thousands of other taxes nation-wide and thousands of laws that implement them.

  3. The federal taxation laws can be found in Title 26 of the U.S. Code.  You can read them at http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/26/ or at http://www.access.gpo.gov/uscode/title26...

Title 26 is the codification of the actual tax laws passed by Congress.  The positive laws (the laws passed by Congress) can be found in the U.S. Statutes at Large.  For the most part, these are not available online.  You can find them in most Federal Depository Libraries and most law libraries. You can look up a Federal Depository Library in your state at http://catalog.gpo.gov/fdlpdir/FDLPdir.j...

You can start reading the tax laws with the Internal Revenue Act of 1954 which can be found in Volume 68A starting on page 3 of the U.S. Statutes at Large.  Continue reading with the Tax Reform Act of 1986 which is found in Volume 100 beginning on page 2085.  Various tax acts since 1986 have modified those two laws to give us the tax code as it is today.
