I live and work in California, but the company I work for is based in New Jersey. I thought there was some type of law that requires an employer to accommodate it's employees work schedule so that they may attend school (College). I am not majoring in business or anything related, but I am not asking them to pay for my education, just let me come in 1 hr early and leave 1 hr early. When I asked my boss to alter my schedule for school he acted like it's not an option and stated that the business is priority. I told him, my education is my priority.

  1. Employers do not alter your work schedule so that you can attend a college.

  2. There is no such law.  The only thing remotely like that is that employers have to let you off for national guard training.
