Preferrably in Pennsylvania but if there are other states with such laws it would certainly help the project...

  1. Only if the belt shows any signs of wear and tear - such as fraying or cuts...See link below, page E-7 & E-8.

  2. No time based law known.    Some states do have laws that concern the condition of seatbelts,  that cut or worn ones be replaced,  but those rarely get enforced.

Still,  for safety's sake,  any seat belt should be replaced that is  damaged in a way which may cause it to fail in an accident.

  3. Nope.................

  4. Here in NSW seatbelt will last the life of the vehicle. There is no law requiring the periodic replacement of seatbelts. However, if the belt is badly frayed or any part of the system is no longer working properly the belt and system are replaced.

Also, the seatbelt is designed to do its job once, then to be replaced. So, if the belt restrained a person during a collision, it will be replaced during the car repair.

  5. I don't think so, if there is  I've never heard of it.

  6. If your seat belts are worn or cut or are just in poor shape, you might not get an inspection sticker in this state, what a lot of people don't know is that if something came with the car, it has to be working in order to get a sticker, that includes seat belts. I live in Ma.

  7. No...  that would be impossible to moniitor and enforce
