  1. There are no "legal sizes" on private property. However, most councils for planning purposes use a guideline of 2.4 x 4.8 metres.


  2. Minimum sizes for parking spaces would be a local ordinance type thing.    Contact the city or county.      

    Try parking at the far end of the garage,  away from the crowd.   Try parking in the last space on a row,  and crowd the curb.  Leaves more space to the other side and removes one side of your car from danger.

  3. Yes, most states have minimum requirements for public parking areas.  It may not apply to lots not open to the public, so check your local government web site.
