Is there a limit on how many people can be in a swimming pool?

Yours is a difficult question as there is no set minimum or maximum size for a pool so how could we arrive at a maximum number of users?

I can’t imagine anyone has ever found a need to determine a maximum amount as common sense would step in if you walked up to a swimming pool and there was no space for you to get in.  And who would want to get in if you would be bumping into people all the time.  

I think the answer has to be.  The swimmer by using common sense decides if its full.

It would help alot if I could understand why you are asking this question - do you have an above or below ground pool?

If you have an above ground pool are you asking for structural reasons?

There will be a limit on an above ground pool, however, this will depend on your manufacturers recommendations.

yes definitely. the limit at the pool where i swim (competitively) is 500. it is a 8 lane 50 meter (or olympic-sized) pool. i hope that helps answer your question.
