I recently bought this video card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131070 I bought it for my custom computer which has an AGP slot at 8x everything seems to be compatible, but for some reason it's not working? The motherboard is an Elitegroup L4VXA2. I have never heard of a memory limit of an AGP video card, but is it possible?

  1. You should have read the reviews on this card at newegg. Not very positive - send it back.

  2. Memory is limited only by what the mfg considers cost effective. Is it worth it for them to make an AGP video card with 1gb of memory? AGP is old tech, it will soon fade away like ISA slots/cards.

As for your card issues...will the system boot. Does it boot with a different card? Does the pc make beeps?  Make sure the card is properly seated.

  3. NO.  It should have no problem so if it does not work then it is faulty.

  4. is the card not working?  or the mobo?  Do you see anything during POST?

You may need to go into the BIOS and disable the builtin video?

Are you switching from analog to video with the new card?  Why did you get the new card?

  5. theres a limit to everything what type of q is that
