  1. They can have anything between 1 and 98 (excluding retired numbers from the team) or that another player isnt using it.


  2. Anyone playing for the Anaheim Ducks can choose any number from 1 - 98 as long as a player is not already wearing that number or it is not retired by that team. 0 and 00 cannot be worn anymore by anyone.

    The only number the Ducks have retired is 99, like the rest of the NHL does.

    They have yet to retire a number for a player who played for that team.

  3. As long as it's not retired, any number between 1 and 98 (99 retired league wide) is permissible for any player, regardless of position. However, it is virtually unheard of for a player rather then a goalie to wear 30 or 1, or even anything in the 30s. Those are traditionally considered goalie numbers for rather long winded reasons.

    0, 00, Fractions, decimals and three digit numbers are not permitted under NHL rules.

  4. The Ducks have had so many numbers retired I think they are using letters now.

  5. 6 digit numbers are frowned upon
