  1. I'm not sure what you mean by "default" - if you are looking for properties that are being sold for unpaid taxes then here is a really good website to find them in Ontario.

If you are looking for foreclosures in Ontario cities - Homes that have 'foreclosurers pending' are listed with  your local real estate agencies. Banks, trust companies and CMHC deal with realtors who then in turn list them as "foreclosures". Try calling some realtors in the city or town you are interested in. If you can try and work with only one realtor assuring them that you will purchase through them you will have a much easier time of getting those listings from them. There is no centralized list of foreclosures in Canada.

Here is the link to a tax property forum in Canada. You will find lots of helpful ideas and links from people who have purchased these properties. It will also link you to tax sales across the country.

Most larger cities have their own tax property sales eg: Toronto - which you can find on any bigger centre's own website. These sales are also listed in the newspapers but you should know that they are usually only held once a year. Most cities conduct their tax sales between Sept and Mar - not written in stone but those are the most favoured months.

Hopefully this is of help to you.

    Good Luck.
