I know that there are martial arts based around different weapons like kendo, naginatajitsu, kyudo, but is there a single martial art where people use a wide variety of different types of weapons against one another (besides cross bows of course). If there is what is this call?

  1. Have a look into Aikido as well as they do use quite a lot of 'weapon' sets in their art.

  2. I would say learn ninjutsu if you want to learn a lot of those sort of weapons you learn weapons such as naginata, shuriken, sword, bo-staff, and many others

  3. Jackie Chan is a master of a martial art where anything is considered a weapon, knives, swords, pots, pans, chairs, tables, etc. Basically whatever is lying around.

But I think what you are looking for is a martial art that trains many types of things are are specially weapons.

Ninjitsu often trains people in everything from swords to hand grenades. But it would depend on the place, rather than the martial art.

  4. Japanese Jiu-jitsu. ( Kobudo )

    Best wishes :)***

  5. well i take karate and we normally practice a form with a staff at green belt. i 4got wat its called but ide say a staff is pretty much a weapon evey1 uses

  6. No, because most martial arts (weapon arts)  will normally deal with one or two weapons, and variations of those weapons. The reason for this is because every weapon is designed for different purpose. A samurai wouldn't use a bo staff, because he wants to cut down his opponent, catch my drift.
