Is there a max psi that you should not go above when pressure washing a car?

So what exactly are those sprayers that are at the do it yourself carwashes. And what are the sprayer type machines that they use at dealerships to spray off the cars. The pressure is a lot higher than a regular hose?

You should never pressure wash your car unless you are trying to take the paint off.

you should never use a pressure washer on your car. it ruins the window rubber and can lift the paint if you catch a chip. hand wash it . its cheaper and looks bettr when its done. high pressure washers are for cleaning greasy parts and tires. dirty side walks and prepping buildings for paint.  it can really do a number on your car..
