  1. Ya... that's   'ol  poo.. there is no limit on the number of cards a dealer or player can get.. Some places like in Spanish 21  if you get 5 cards under 21   there is a bonus...!!

  2. <<<Is there a maxium amount of cards a dealer can get in black jack?>>>

Using common rules, the most cards a dealer could get would be in a multideck game. The dealer could get

    2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - A - A - A - A  - any

    for 11 cards.

The only times I have seen a limit of five cards to a player is in games that include the "five card charlie" rule. That rule indicates that a player's hand with five cards that does not bust automatically wins against anything but a dealer's blackjack. I have only seen that rule in games that have some other rule that is really bad for the player, such as the dealer wins all ties.

  3. The player can get as many cards as they want.  No casino anywhere has the 5 card charlie rule in effect.

I've been a blackjack (casino) dealer for 10 years.

  4. There is no maximum amount of cards for the player or dealer.  The dealer keeps pulling until they get a hard 17 (or soft depending on the casino) or above.  Players can keep pulling until they decide to stop or bust out.

  5. I don't think they have a maximum amount. All I know is they keep going till they get to at least 17 or till they bust

  6. In some casinos, the dealer must stop drawing cards after a number set forth by the casino like 5 or 6 cards, this is an uncommon rule, but it does exhist in some locations.

The rule is beneficial to the player by a very tiny amount.

I have never heard of a limit to the number of cards a player can draw, if there was a limit it would be a disadvantage unless there was some kind of payout for drawing 5 cards and not busting.  You may be confusing this beleif with the again somewhat uncommon rule where a 5 or 6 card **21** pays a certain amount.  There is no limit to how many cards the player can draw in any casino i have ever seen or heard about.
