Is there a meaning for this?

It happens to me very often (almost everyday) that I look at the time right when the clock marks 11:11 or 1:11. At the beginning I thought it was just a coincidence, but now it's starting to freak me out. Is there a meaning for this in numerology or any other methaphysical science?

I've actually been experimenting with this and have come up with some interesting conclusions.

For the record, as you may have concluded with an internet search, this is not an uncommon phenomena. It happen to a lot of people.

Here is what I found.

1) It is only with Digital clocks, not analogue clocks. Its really related to the fact that 11:11 and 1:11 are just a bunch of verticle lines.

2) Its starts out with someone catching it here and there and builds up over time. After a year or so they will look at the clock twice a day, and both times will be 11:11.

3) Its the people who have been going for 4 or 5 years who start to experience really weird stuff, like looking at a clock that reads 11:11 when its like 11:30. Or having power flicker and the clock starts blinking 11:11 instead of 12:00.

I think its a trick that the mind is playing more than anything. Just as an interesting point, 11:11 and 1:11 appear on a digital clock more often than any other number. The numbers 0 1 3 4 7 8 9 all use the LEDs that illuminate 1. For example, 0 is just 1 with 3 extra LEDs illuminated.

There is no real meaning to 11:11. Some will say its the end of the mayan calandar, or has to do with angels. As stange as it is, I honestly dont thing there is any mystical meaning, or paranormal significance to this phenomena.

I want you to keep in mind that each # has its positive and negative aspect, and how you use them is up to you.

  This could also  be a specific event  that happened either to you or a close family member at that specific time or date.Try to keep a log of the # of times in a week you look at the clock and it has that same time, just to be sure that is is a phenomina and not just a coincidence.

The problem with dealing with numbers is it could be a date, a time, or you would have to add, there are a lot of variables that fit into this that it makes this so complicated to answer

It might, or it just could be that you are focused on that number itself and make a mental note of it. After all it can only be 11:11 two times a day and 1:11 two times a day. How many times in a day do you look at your watch?

Have you ever looked at a clock when it didn't say 1:11 or 11:11?  If you hadn't then that would be truly remarkable.  A more reasonable explanation could be that you may look at the clock frequently, but the times 1:11 and 11:11 have more significance for you so you only actually remember looking at the clock when these times are showing.  Does this happen when you're around non-digital clocks that don't have number readouts?

It's a bit like the psychic dream or premonition.  People have thousands of dreams but they only remember the ones that may have a similarity to something that comes to pass.  What about all of the dreams that don't?

yes it is happening to you and no its not just a coincidence..its about spiritual awareness, its part of a prophecy, and its happening to alot of people...myself its with 333, i see it everywhere, and everyday its even in my phone number 0333...it started in 2003 and at first i thought nothing of it but as it started happening more and more and i had to start taking notice..its nothing to be afraid of, if anything you should feel lucky...it will have a meaning to you..ive learned that its the angels communicating with us...look up doreen virture and triple numbers...a good place to start is with numerology, those numbers will have a meaning to you in some sort of way, could be with someone close to you, birth dates, dates of something that has happened, or year cycles, house numbers even old house numbers...welcome you are now on a journey, and it will continue and proberly will see them more and more..there is a movie about a prophecy and to recogize coincidences as answers that are shown to us i suggest you watch it, its called..the celestine prphecy..by james redfield.....it could be an answer to a question you have within you and only you will find the answer....in the end for me 333 really gave me insight into something in my life, it wasnt just my imagination...it reall did mean something, but it took me 5 years to find the answer, and i had to study numerology, but it payed off in the end....

Interesting tidbit: Here in Germany, at 11:11 on November 11th it is the official start of the Mardi Gras / Carnival season. Crowds gather and parades are held on November 11th in Cologne to celebrate.

No, it's called the confirmation effect.  You think you see that number everywhere, so you do.  You see numbers all day long, but most of them don't register with you unless you're looking for a certain number.  When you see that number, you remember you saw it but forget all the other numbers you've seen today.

It happens to everyone, and with different numbers.  But there's no meaning to it, since it's all in your head.  You're looking for patterns where there aren't any.
