  1. The United States Naval Academy. You can choose the Marine option your senior year.

By the way, the merchant marine academy is completely different from the Marine Corps. It's not even combat oriented, its basically ship transportation.

  2. Annapolis.  But if you graduate and choose the Marines you have to go through additional training to be a Marine

  3. Yes.

It is called the Naval Academy.

USMC is a part of the Department of the Navy

  4. The above poster is right that the curriculum of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy is maritime transportation. However, graduates have the same military commitment that the other academies do; that commitment can easily be served as an active duty Marine Corps officer. It's neither unheard of nor rare; a significant portion of graduates are commissioned into the Marine Corps (and every other branch) each year.

  5. United States Merchant Marine Academy

    Kings Point, NY

The purpose of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy is to ensure that such people are available to the nation as shipboard officers and as leaders in the transportation field who will meet the challenges of the present and the future.

  6. Marine Option via USNA or NROTC.
