I am using fresh flowers for my centerpieces and would like to use the battery operated votive candles but I don't think those will work in water. Are there any suggestions that will work?

  1. Yes.  The floralytes the previous answerer said are really cool.  We are doing the same kind of thing at my wedding.  We are keeping the centerpieces cheap yet beautiful.  Floating roses on the top of a 7 inch bowl.  LED submersible lights inside, mirror on the bottom of the bowl.  We are also having votive candle holders as name cards to light up the table scape..  Good luck.

  2. I used floralytes at the bottom of my vases.  It takes 3 to light up a large vase.  They are wonderfull and come in many colors.  I used red ones under clear marbles at the bottom of the vase and they were beautiful!

  3. The floralytes are great, but if you are looking for a less expensive option, you can put the vases on a clear pedestal (you can use shallow votive holders, vases or candy dishes) in any shape or color, then you can use your  battery operated votive candles or any kind of light source.

  4. Put them in zip lok freezer bags.  They should hold pressure to about twelve feet.

The bags come in very small sizes if required

THey can be used underwater it just shorten their life..  With a 72 hour life a shortening shouldn't matter for a reception...

  6. there are flashlights that work underwater im sure you could find a small enough one. or something else
