  1. You have to be old enough to buy them to sell them, and its  now 18 to buy cigarettes too.

  2. To sell cigarettes you need to be 18 years old now. To sell alcohol you need to be over 18. If your wanting to start your own shop then you need to be over 21 to become a licensed place. Some shops may also require you to go onto a training course before you are allowed to sell alcohol.

  3. I don't know about the UK

but I live in Canada and I started working at

a grocery store when I was 15 and I can sell

cigarettes but not alcohol. sorry I didn't really

help your answer, just saying. =p

  4. My friend worked in a shop and she had to ask permission from a co-worker who was over 18 to sell cigarettes and alcohol. She couldnt sell them herself as she was under 18.

  5. 18 for both but if you don't have id you have to look 21.

  6. A 14 year old can sell you alcohol or cigs, but they have to get a supervisor over the age of 18 to authorise it.

  7. yes, in the uk you have to be 18

  8. yes they have to be 18, if you go to a supermarket and buy alcohol and the checkout operater is under 18 they have to ask someone to supervise them scanning the bottle. its to stop them selling it to their schools pals, but the law states they have to be 18!

  9. Try again, the laws have changed, you have to be 21 and over. You sell to minors and you can be fined, shut down, depending on how strict those areas are.
