Do you have to have a minimum gross yearly income to contribute to a ROTH IRA? For example, I plan on putting 5K into a ROTH this year, but next year I may make $0 because I'll be going back to school full time and mooching off my parents.

PS. This is a single account.

  1. www.ira.com.  You can't contribute more than you make in earned income.

  2. There is no minimum income requirement on a roth IRA. You just tell the place where you deposit the money into your IRA that you won't be able to do it anymore.
