Is there a minimum of years for the nypd?

I am thinking of joining the NYPD for a short time. Is there a minimum amount of years required or can I leave anytime?

You would have to apply to NYPD to join them, so why not ask them this question when applying.

Surely you need better investigation skills to join NYPD than you have showed by asking this question here!!
