Is there a more economic bedding for rabbits i can use?

  1. We have a rabbitry and we always just use pine shavings with some alfalfa hay for them to nibble on and bed down in. Before that we used newspaper...

  3. Have you considered litter training them? It's pretty easy, and it really cuts down on bedding expenses - rather than filling the whole cage, you just need to fill the box. I just use hay and newspaper in my rabbit's box, and it costs virtually nothing. I get the newspaper delivered every day, and timothy hay is only a few dollars a bale!

  4. shreaded news paper is fine for them

  5. Whatever you use do NOT use cedar. It's dangerous to small pets, heck to any pets.
