Is there a more economic bedding for rabbits i can use?

Have you considered litter training them? It's pretty easy, and it really cuts down on bedding expenses - rather than filling the whole cage, you just need to fill the box. I just use hay and newspaper in my rabbit's box, and it costs virtually nothing. I get the newspaper delivered every day, and timothy hay is only a few dollars a bale!

shreaded news paper is fine for them

Whatever you use do NOT use cedar. It's dangerous to small pets, heck to any pets.
