  1. The closest i remember of any size was the Black Diamond Riders in Ontario  But I think they are 81 now

  2. Seriously, that name does sound g*y.  I could totally see a g*y biker club called that with rhinestones all over their patches.  "Let's ride, fellas!"

You also have to decide whether you are going to be a motorcycle club or a riding club.  Motorcycle clubs do the whole club thing, with club houses and everything.  Riding clubs are strictly a group of people who ride together.

  3. I think it's too cliché for bikers.

    [ Cool! I got that é in there! ]

The phrase is a metaphor for the original unpolished state of diamond gemstones, especially those that have the potential to become high quality jewels. It is more commonly expressed in the form 'rough diamond'. The first recorded use in print is in John Fletcher's A Wife for a Month, 1624:

"She is very honest, and will be as hard to cut as a rough diamond."

(See what you can find online!)

It is someone who is basically good hearted but lacking social graces and respect for the law.

It is often used to describe people on the edge of the criminal fraternity who, while they may not commit serious crimes themselves, probably know people who do.

The Diamonds in the Rough were a professional wrestling stable in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, led by the eponymous Simon Diamond and consisting primarily of lower- to mid-card wrestlers.

Diamonds in the Rough is an on line boutique at http://www.diamondsintheroughonline.com/

http://www.diamondsintherough.net/ says: "Diamonds In The Rough is an invaluable scouting tool. It provides information on black college football prospects that don't get as much exposure as the big school prospects but are definitely deserving of it".

Bartleby.com says Someone or something with potential or talent but lacking training or polish: “Her singing voice is beautiful, but she needs help with her gestures; she’s a diamond in the rough.” This phrase refers to the fact that diamonds found in nature are rough and uneven. They must be cut and polished to bring out their true beauty.

Google has over 630,000 hits for it. See http://www.google.com/search?q=Diamonds+...

  4. sounds g*y to me "group?" They are called clubs.
