  1. It's a Labor & Delivery nurse.

Get your nursing degree and try to have the majority of your clinical rotations be in L&D/mother & baby departments.

When my boys get slightly older and I head back to school- I'll be getting my nursing degree and becoming an L&D nurse.  Just wish I had known that's what I "wanted to be when I grew up" when I was in college before :)  Guess it took popping out a few kids to realize my dream.

  2. Labor and Delivery Nurse..

  3. labor and delivery nurse

You would need to get your nursing degree first, most nursing schools incorporate obstetrical clinicals into their programs.  Then after you graduate, you could choose to specialize in this area if you wanted.  There is no extra schooling required, you'd just need to get hired for that position at a hospital. The hospital would give you any necessary training.

  4. some midwives are also nurses.  they are certified nurse midwives (CNM)
