Is there a name for this? When kids have been crying for a long time...?

and they make that noise afterwards (breathing in) what would you call that?

  1. Its possible that they are wheezing which is sometimes caused from asthma. If it keeps happening take them to their doctor immediatly.


  2. At our house we call it the "heebie jeebies."  You know your child is upset if they cry like that!!

  3. When a baby cries for a long time it could be Colic which is pretty much bad gas I think. The noise afterwards is probably just the baby getting out of breath from crying so much.

  4. They are just trying to catch their breath. It's hyperventilating, but not the full blown thing. It's sad, isn't it? Especially with babies.

  6. Isn't that the saddest thing to see??!! I will never forget my newborn son being brought to me after he was circumcised........a newborn!!! I cried like a baby when I saw him doing that!

    I have no idea what it is called but it sure is sad to see!
