I can't do math well, graphs don't make sense, I can't tell time on clocks with hands and I can't read big numbers aloud. Is there a name for this?

  1. I'm not sure if there's. Maybe the part of your brain (Part of the left side) isn't a very active one. That's why you dislike maths and similar things and not good at them. But you can be good in music and languages for example, and that's because other parts of your brain responsible for these things are more active. But about clock reading and numbers, try getting someone to help you, nothing wrong with it...I had a hard time reading clocks myself at first.

  2. There is no name for this. Basically, just someone who struggles with math.

  3. YEs, you need more patience from someone willing to spend the time to teach you these things.

    A better teacher is needed.

  4. You're not dumb. Ignorant idiots may tell you that you are, but don't listen to them. I don't know if you are dyslexic, but that is a possibility. Some people reverse numbers or letters, which makes it very hard to do the things you have mentioned. I'm no expert on the problem, but I know enough to understand that it isn't just you being stupid. My mother is dyslexic with numbers. She also has a PHD, just not in advanced mathematics. Let the idiots say what they feel they must say because they don't like themselves and their lives. You do need to work with some kind of neurologist or therapist, not me. Good luck

  5. Maybe your Dyslexic when it comes to numbers. Cause I am sometimes. I sometimes read numbers backwards, but I catch myself after I say it. But I don't do it with words or spelling or anything. It's just numbers. And I actually had to have a lot of help in some of my math classes in high school. The extra help did help me understand the subject better. So maybe all you need is a tutor.

  6. I think that you must practice solving  mathematics and remember that practice makes perfect .

  7. You may suffer from dyscalculia (difficulty in learning or comprehending mathematics). It's kind of like dyslexia except it has to do with the concept of numbers. You need to see your physician and discuss this with your parents and guidance counselors so that you can get testing and  tutoring because it could be treated with a new learning style or it may neurological!!!!

    Here are some common symptoms:

**Frequent difficulties with arithmetic, confusing the signs: +, −, ÷ and ×.

**Inability to tell which of two numbers is the larger.

**Difficulty with everyday tasks like checking change and reading analog clocks.

**Inability to comprehend financial planning or budgeting, sometimes even at a basic level; for example, estimating the cost of the items in a shopping basket or balancing a checkbook.

**Difficulty with times-tables, mental arithmetic, etc.

**May do fairly well in subjects such as science and geometry, which require logic rather than formulae, until a higher level requiring calculations is obtained.

**Difficulty with conceptualizing time and judging the passing of time.

**Problems differentiating between left and right.

**Having a poor sense of direction (i.e., north, south, east, and west), potentially even with a compass.

**Difficulty navigating or mentally "turning" the map to face the current direction rather than the common North=Top usage.

**Having difficulty mentally estimating the measurement of an object or distance (e.g., whether something is 10 or 20 feet away).

**Inability to grasp and remember mathematical concepts, rules, formulae, and sequences.

**An inability to read a sequence of numbers, or transposing them when repeated such turning 56 into 65.

    **Difficulty keeping score during games.

**Difficulty with games such as poker with more flexible rules for scoring.

**Difficulty in activities requiring sequential processing, from the physical (such as dance steps) to the abstract (reading, writing and signaling things in the right order).

**May have trouble even with a calculator due to difficulties in the process of feeding in variables
