Is there a national database or some way to find out all insurance policy of a deceased person?

The reason i ask is my father pass away an before he passed i recalled him asking my about my ss# so that it would be on policy's however no policy's were ever found, and surprisingly his X-girl friend has move up tremendously in society. X-girl was the first one going through all his personal property.

I am sorry not to have an answer for you, it's just my b/f and I are currently going through the same thing.

There is no such database.  Your only source of info would be his personal papers.  But if you were a named beneficiary, the insurance co. would not pay out to anyone else.
