  3. Drugs are not always the answer, and often treat symptoms only..reducing anxiety inducing stress would be a good place to start...

  4. You can help keep the blood pressure low with diet and exercise.

Do you have to have a steroid injection?

I regularly treat shoulder injuries successfully without the use of drugs using manual therapy.

  5. There are no supplements or vitamins that will help you to lower your blood pressure. However, a healthy diet can. Potassium, which is found in fruits and vegetables can help to lower blood pressure which is why you should aim for at least five, but better still seven to nine portions of fruit or vegetables each day. If you also cut down on the amount of salt you eat your blood pressure will come down even further.

  6. Ayervedic MUKA VATI tablets- they work brilliantly

  7. high blood pressure can be a side affect of long standing dehydration ...... When you are getting dehydrated your body goes into preservation mode and hangs onto the little bit of water it does have, hence symptoms such as puffy bags under your eyes actually puffiness anywhere in the body is actually a sign of dehydration.

If you are dehydrated, your blood becomes thicker and your body has to work much too hard to cause it to circulate .......... Expecting your digestive system to digest food and transport essential vitamins and nutrients with no water in your system is an extremely huge ask ............ Water is imperative to life. Without water your body will have a terrible time breathing, digesting food, transporting nutrients, lubricating your joint sockets etc.etc.etc.etc......... nothing substitutes for water. your body needs at least 2 - 3 litres of water daily to function efficiently Geez, we need at least 2 litres daily just to maintain aspiration (to breathe)!! so drink up.

Increase your intake of fresh filtered water 20 minutes before or after meals so as to enhance digestion rather than interfere with it ............... if you drink fluids during your meals it will only serve to dilute your digestive juices and hinder digestion.

also, try to cut back on drinks such as coffee, tea, alcohol, sodas and soft drinks (if you drink any of them) which will all do great job of dehydrating you. ie: just 1 can of soda or soft drink will make your body peesh out up to 12 cups of water !!! 1 cup of coffee will make your body peesh out about 2 cups of water ........... read the book by F. Batmanghelidj, M.D.... "Your body's many cries for water"...... an astounding and scary and very true read.

Some of the symptoms of dehydration are puffy bags under your eyes, dark circles under your eyes, constant yawning, headaches and migraines and constipation and bloating and cramping and foggy thinking and irritability and moodiness.

Eat more fruits and vegies, grains such as organic brown rice and quinoa (pronounced keen-wah) and legumes such as peas, beans and lentils too as they are all rich in phytochemicals....... phytochemicals are natural chemical substances found in plants which provide you with protection against disease and have been shown to have a protective effect against many ailments including heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, lung ailments and cancer.

Try to eliminate the amount of stress you are exposed to or find ways to effectively deal with it such as meditation, yoga or relaxing in a soothing bath with a few drops of pure organic lavender oil in it (don't use the lavender oil for pregnant or breast feeding women or on children under 5 years of age).........  eat more onions and garlic .......  decrease your intake of sugar............  be happy and take care of you.

    hope this helps a bit

    peace

  8. Believe it or not, stroking a cat (or maybe any animal, but definitely a cat) can lower your blood pressure.  It's relaxing too - unless you're allergic to them.

    Hope you feel better soon.

  9. Meditation twice a day for 20-30 minutes each time. This will help most problems:)

  10. Hi,stroke the back of a cat on regular bases, it will bring your blood preasure down.

  11. There are many non-drug methods for lowering blood pressure and keeping it low. Unfortunately, not all of them work for all people. And some people don't seem to get help from any of them. Here are the main ones:

    1. Eliminate salt from your diet.

    2. Take a daily potassium supplement.

    3. Take calcium and magnesium, 1000 cal to 500 mag daily in split doses.

    4. Exercise daily. A good brisk one hour walk is about right.

    5. Take a course in yoga meditation or yoga deep breathing. Most people can learn to control their blood pressure by controlling their breath.

    6. Along the same line, there is a breath control machine that will prompt you to inhale and exhale, and lower your blood pressure.

    7. Herbal medicines: you will want to take a vasodilator (such as Hawthorne) and a diuretic (such as nettle root). These are safe and often as effective as their synthetic medical equivalents. For best results, see a naturopathic physician.

    8. The herb raulfia serpentina is very effective. It will immediately lower your blood pressure. Take five drops of the tincture under your tounge. If that doesn't do it, take five more drops fifteen minutes later. Note Well: this is a toxic substance, is not for long term use, and should be taken ONLY under the direction of a naturopathic doctor.

  12. Omega-3 Fish Oil......worked great forme

  13. Meditation.

  14. It sounds like you are looking for a natural alternative to medication.  High Blood Pressure can be very serious and Medical Doctors have ways to control it.  Please read about the side effects of the drug before you take it.  Perhaps an Holistic Doctor, Natural Path Doctor or Herbalist could assist you with finding some answers.

There could be any number of reasons your blood pressure is high.  Find the cause and treat that; the symptom (high blood pressure) will go away when the cause has been eliminated. There is a very good book that you can find in stores and at Amazon.com called Prescription for Nutritional Healing.  In that book you will find a great deal of information about nutritional supplements that assist bringing down blood pressure.

Are the steroids and other medications causing your blood pressure to rise? Many times symptoms are caused by the medication we take, talk to your doctor about this problem and ask for a natural way to control it.  Unfortunately main stream Medical Doctors do not always know about natural healing methods, but you can try because some of them do.

I have used the supplements listed below quite successfully. (Omega 3 Fish Oil high in EPA) thins the blood and along with certain B-Vitamins like Niacin, has been known to reduce blood pressure.  Co-Enzyme Q-10 has been known to strengthen the heart and improve Blood Pressure.  Also, Lecithin taken in large amounts will clean out the Arteries like Roto-Rooter. Any of these things and more can assist you with your blood pressure.

Best of luck to you, Rose
