Question:

Is there a natural roach killer?

I would prefer natural as I have two toddlers and am pregnant, not to mention just prefer anything natural over anything poisonous my kids could come into contact with. My biggest concern though, is that these roaches are coming my a neighboring apartment, so would having a natural killer actually do my any good if they are just visiting over here or do I need to be harsher to insure they actually stop visiting?

  1. well something being natural has nothing to do with the toxicity when comparing it to other products.  Boric acid is about as natural as it gets yet it is at least 50 times more toxic than the insecticides I use to treat in homes , hospital, day cares, etc and will probably be be several hundred more times than the gel baits (what should be used for your roach issues) used for roach control.  Other natural products would be baits made with the ingredient avermectin.  Other natural products you could use would be silica gel and diatomaceous earth. The dusts BA, DE and silica gel will take longer to get control of a problem and can be unsightly.

  2. Roaches are one of the oldest living creatures on this planet.  Do you think that if there were it wouldn't have killed them all off eons ago?

Nothing you do will stop them from coming back until the landlord sprays the whole building.

  3. You could try using a mixture dry cement mixed well with powdered sugar. The roaches eat it and it "cements" their insides. But because it is sweet be sure to keep it out of your toddlers' reach.
