Is there a new law going into effect in arizona about the legal driving age?

Recently I was told by a police officer that in a couple of months (after a certain date) teens, in order to drive must be at least 18 years old, whereas it has always been 16. I tried researching it online but there is nothing about it anywhere! If anyone knows about this new law and when the cut off date is for getting it at 16, I would appreciate the input! Thanks!

  2. It's just a rumor.

  3. Okay I'm 90% sure this is just a rumor going around. The correct age to get your driver's license has always been 18. You just get a provisional lisence when your 16, which has some restrictions ( i.e. Can't drive from 11pm to 5am etc.)
