Is there a new law that makes it illegal to scatter ashes in Scotland?

I think my friend is talking nonsense but does anyone know of a law that bans this?

  2. No. It is completely legal to scatter ashes, however, your friend might have misunderstood a request made by the Mountaineering Council of Scotland who asked bereaved relatives to avoid scattering ashes on Scottish mountains because of an apparently significant effect on mountain plants.  

  3. No theres no law. but to be honest the way this countrys law system is it wouldnt suprise me if there will be soon.
