I bought this herbal extract in hopes of some natural healing. I read that it tasted good drunk in some tomato or V8 juice. It was ABSOLUTELY HIDEOUS TASTING!!! It was like V8 with turpentine, oregano and whiskey going down! I about threw up! Is there any way to take this stuff without really tasting it? It is SO STRONG!

  1. oh dear! I dont think there is a good way; apart from being greek, which helps, I find! So go for the olive oil (extra virgin ONLY) instead then.

  2. haha, isn't it fun to take oregano oil?

I hate it, and I have still yet to find a way to mask the taste.  My guess is that advice was given because tomato juice is acidic, and usually acidic foods/drinks mask the taste somewhat.  If I were you, I would quickly take down the olive leaf and oregano liquid, then drink the tomato juice.  Then you don't have to have the aftertaste of the liquid supplements.

You could try other acidic juices, although I'm not sure how well they would mix.  Some people drink grapefruit juice after/with some liquid supplements to mask the taste.

I think tomato juice is as good as you're going to get.  Just take it separately, and plug your nose in between taking the oil and the juice!  Maybe it'll end up tasting like spaghetti sauce, haha.

  3. You can get Olive Leaf extract in pill form.

As for the oregano...  The potency wouldn't be the same in a different format.
